  • Division Order Analyst

    Experienced Division Order Analyst needed for a local, high growth, dynamic, and energetic oil and gas firm specializing in mineral acquisitions and non-op working interest acquisitions.

    This is an outstanding opportunity for strategic and self-motivated candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit and career-driven mindset. As the Division Order Analyst, you will be responsible for managing all of the company’s ownership of oil and gas interests, including mineral, royalty and non-op working interests throughout the DJ Basin and other oil and gas basins. Ideal candidate will calculate ownership interests, communicate with operators, execute transfer orders, cure complex title, analyze division orders, coordinate payments, track royalties, revenue, reporting and other related duties as outlined below.

    • Perform a series of activities from drafting conveyances into the proper company entities, ensuring proper recordation of documents, initiating transfer orders, confirming pay status with subject operators, calculating and confirming NRI’s, addressing and handling curative title issues, tracking and reporting royalties and other revenues, and managing a detailed database of owned oil and gas interests.
    • Address and solve title curative, review title opinions and perform patent to present mineral ownership analysis.
    • Manage ongoing verification of net revenue interests as specified on division orders received from operators and update database accordingly.
    • Research, resolve and respond to operator inquiries related to ownership issues.
    • Analyze and execute division orders related to owned interests in which the company is entitled to the proceeds from oil and gas production.
    • Problem-solve issues that arise with a thorough understanding of mineral ownership and title.
    • Handle complex issues while maintaining a high level of organization and confidentiality.
    • Research and resolve any issues associated with royalty revenue and title/ownership.
    • Provide weekly/monthly updates to department Manager on an ongoing basis.
    • Demonstrate and promote the positive culture and team camaraderie that is the foundation of the company.
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the following skills:

    • 4-year college degree required.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Division Order Analyst a must.
    • Knowledge of Real Property Law and the ability to interpret oil and gas legal documents.
    • Firm understanding of mineral ownership and title.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Maintain joint interest billing records.
    • Working knowledge of Quorum, WolfePak or Bolo a plus.
    • Excellent communication, verbal interpersonal and analytical skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environment.
    • High level of accuracy and an acute attention to detail required.
    • Appropriately handle confidential and proprietary company information.

    • Update and maintain project databases in an efficient manner
    • Perform various courthouse research to examine property and tax assessment records for compilation of information about a specific property
    • Develop understanding of state regulatory systems
    • Provide quality research and reports based on client needs and criteria

    Position requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
    • Experience in the sales and/or oil and gas industry a plus
    • Must be comfortable with cold calling and door to door sales
    • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
    • Working knowledge of CRM databased, preferably Salesforce

  • Internship

    Part-time Intern needed for a local, high growth, dynamic, and energetic oil and gas firm specializing in mineral acquisitions.

    Looking for a hardworking, trustworthy, and organized person, with a strong ability to multi task. A can-do attitude is a must, along with the ability to learn quickly, and adapt to a demanding and changing work environment. Ideal candidate will fulfill this position for a minimum of 90 days with a commitment of 16-24 hours per week.

    This internship is designed based on a successfully built Junior Landman training program that relies on the mentorship of Wolf Resources’ Senior Landman. Full-time career opportunity available with unlimited growth potential.

    • Determine mineral ownership by performing chain of title research
    • Independently develop and execute projects aimed at improving business processes
    • Contribute to team effort by performing related administrative functions upon request

    Position requirements:

    • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher
    • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce, a plus
